Start with the version, because it matters more here than almost anywhere. This exam code is the current 2026 release, and it replaced the previous version, which has been retired. A large amount of the free material circulating still targets the retired code. The domains carry the same names, but the content underneath moved — particularly around the generative AI service and the database features supporting it.

The exam itself is entirely conceptual. There is no coding, no lab, and no prerequisite, which makes it genuinely accessible to non-technical people. That accessibility is also its trap. Because the exam is cheap to attempt, candidates walk in unprepared, fail on the portfolio questions, and repeat until something sticks. That works, eventually, and it teaches you almost nothing.
