My Story

I wanted to take a moment to share something personal with you all. Many of you know me as your counselor, coach, or friend who is here to guide you through the process of healing and redefining your life after experiencing loss. But what you may not know is that I, too, have walked a similar path.

I understand the profound pain that comes with the loss of a loved one because I have experienced it myself. My brother was killed, my father died months later from an illness, all while I was also going through a divorce. Later I remarried, only to find myself a widow two years later at the young age of 26. I was facing the unimaginable grief that followed. Over the years, I have also said goodbye to many others dear to me.

But amidst the darkness of grief, I found a glimmer of hope. I learned that it is possible to heal, to rebuild, and to redefine life after loss. I've come to understand that grief is a journey, a unique and personal journey for each of us, and I have dedicated my life to helping others navigate this challenging path.

Today, I stand before you not just as someone who has studied grief and healing academically, but as someone who has lived through it. I know the deep ache that comes with loss, but I also know the strength that can emerge from it. I've remarried and found new joy in my life, and I am here to support you in finding your own path to healing and rediscovery.

Together, we will work through your pain, your grief, and your journey toward a brighter future. I am here to listen, to guide, and to offer a hand to hold along the way. Please know that you are not alone in your struggle, and together, we can find the strength to heal and redefine our lives after loss.
