Build confidence for test day with six timed practice exams and 295 original questions covering ASE Medium-Heavy Truck tests T1 through T6.
This practice-test course helps you check your knowledge, spot weak areas, and strengthen your diagnostic decision-making. Each exam mixes questions across the topics for its section, giving you practice choosing the best answer under timed conditions.
Every question includes a detailed explanation to help you understand the correct answer and the reasoning behind it. You’ll review component operation, diagnostic steps, service decisions, and the best next action in realistic medium-heavy truck situations.
Your six practice exams include:
T1: Gasoline Engines — 50 questions | 75 minutes
Review engine diagnosis, cylinder heads and valve trains, engine blocks, lubrication and cooling, ignition, fuel and air systems, exhaust, emissions, and computerized engine controls.
T2: Diesel Engines — 55 questions | 90 minutes
Practice diesel diagnosis, engine mechanical systems, lubrication and cooling, air induction and exhaust, fuel systems, starting and charging, and engine brakes.
T3: Drive Train — 40 questions | 60 minutes
Test your understanding of clutches, transmissions, driveshafts, universal joints, and drive axle diagnosis and repair.
T4: Brakes — 50 questions | 75 minutes
Work through air and hydraulic brake systems, ABS, traction control, stability control, and collision warning and avoidance diagnostics.
T5: Suspension and Steering — 50 questions | 75 minutes
Review steering, suspension, frames, fifth wheels, wheel alignment, wheels, tires, and hubs.
T6: Electrical/Electronic Systems — 50 questions | 90 minutes
Strengthen your skills in electrical diagnosis, batteries, starting and charging systems, lighting, and related vehicle systems.
Each practice exam follows the published topic scope, scored-question count, and testing time for its corresponding ASE section. Question formats include knowledge checks, diagnostic scenarios, best-action decisions, and selected sequence-based questions.
These are six separate section practice exams. The package covers T1–T6; it does not include T7 Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning or T8 Preventive Maintenance and Inspection.
To get the most from the course, take each exam under its stated time limit, then review your answers carefully. Look for patterns in the questions you miss, revisit those systems and diagnostic processes, and retake the exam after reviewing. An 80% practice score can serve as a personal study target, but it is not an official ASE passing standard or a guarantee of exam success.
This course contains practice tests only, with no video lectures. All questions are original practice material—not official or recalled ASE exam questions.
Use this resource alongside hands-on experience, OEM service information, safety procedures, and official ASE study materials. ASE certification also requires relevant documented work experience in addition to passing the applicable test.
