Build your test automation decision-making skills with 120 original practice questions from Cloudpuz Academy. This independent course offers two different sets of 60 questions covering the eight chapters of the ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineering v2.0 outline. Every question has four options, one best answer, explanations for every option and a study reference. The scenarios are independently written and hypothetical. They are not official, recalled or copied examination questions.
Begin with the purpose and limitations of automation, suitable objectives and the information needed before selecting an approach. Preparation scenarios explore testability, observability, controllability, tool evaluation, environmental constraints and the fit between team capabilities and system characteristics. Choose evidence that supports a decision instead of assuming that a tool or an automation percentage proves quality.
Architecture and implementation questions examine the generic test automation architecture, framework layers, business workflows, page components, data-driven and keyword-driven approaches, and maintainability. Consider where responsibilities belong, how dependencies affect execution and what a representative pilot should demonstrate. Some scenarios draw on documented Selenium, pytest or Playwright behavior; the course does not require one particular framework.
Explore deployment and continuous integration through explicit gates, execution scheduling, versioned configuration, test data, API dependencies and reliable environments. Reporting questions distinguish first-pass results from retry outcomes, interpret denominators and connect logs and artifacts to an investigation. Numerical problems provide their assumptions so that the answer follows from the stated scenario.
Verification scenarios test the automation solution itself. Use known passing and failing controls, meaningful assertions, reliable cleanup, isolated worker state and appropriate validation. Continuous improvement scenarios address fragile interactions, coverage overlap, runtime bottlenecks, parallel scheduling and controlled library migrations. Explanations connect each choice to the requirement that matters in that situation.
Each set contains 5 introduction, 7 preparation, 9 architecture, 6 implementation, 9 deployment and CI/CD, 6 reporting, 9 verification and 9 continuous improvement questions. This rounded study distribution is not an exact official examination replica. Each set allows 135 minutes, scaled from the official 40-question, 90-minute format checked in November 2026. A 70 percent equally weighted study target is used here. The official examination uses weighted points, with 43 out of 66 required at the time checked; the scores are not directly equivalent.
Preparation included an author editorial review, 21 executable arithmetic and small behavior-model checks, and an export comparison of question text, answer keys and explanations. The models are focused illustrations, not browser or framework integration tests. Local lexical screening found no matching or high-similarity stems in the available collection. These checks are not an independent expert assessment or a guarantee that every possible interpretation has been excluded.
Foundation-level testing knowledge, basic programming literacy and familiarity with automated tests are recommended. This is a practice-question course, without video lessons, an exam voucher or accredited training. Confirm current CTFL and practical-experience eligibility requirements with your examination provider. Cloudpuz Academy is independent and is not affiliated with, accredited by or endorsed by ISTQB.
