Build stronger Linux administration decisions with 120 original questions from Cloudpuz Academy. This course contains two different 60-question written practice tests aligned with the five LFCS domain weights reviewed in November 2026. Each scenario asks you to interpret a requirement, recognize a command behavior or choose an appropriate diagnostic or configuration action.
LFCS is a performance-based certification exam requiring practical work in a Linux terminal. This multiple-choice course is supplementary concept and decision practice. It is not a reproduction of the official exam format, a hosted lab or a replacement for hands-on preparation. Use the questions to identify topics that need further practice on systems you are authorized to administer.
Each test includes fifteen Operations and Deployment questions, fifteen Networking questions, twelve Storage questions, twelve Essential Commands questions and six Users and Groups questions. The two sets use different scenarios. This distribution follows the published domain percentages; it does not claim exhaustive coverage of every practical objective or command variation.
Operations scenarios cover runtime and persistent kernel settings, systemd unit behavior, process signals, scheduling priority, cron and calendar timers, package indexes and trust, recovery decisions, libvirt guests, Podman containers and SELinux labels. Distinguish a temporary fix from a persistent configuration and examine evidence before expanding permissions or changing storage.
Networking practice includes interface addressing, IPv6 link-local scope, route selection, host lookup, socket diagnostics, neighbor discovery, path MTU, time synchronization and OpenSSH. Work through stateful filtering, destination and source NAT, bridge loops, bonding behavior and NGINX reverse-proxy decisions. Tool-specific examples state the relevant operating context.
Storage questions distinguish physical volumes, volume groups, logical volumes and filesystems. Review safe growth and shrink ordering, thin-pool capacity, snapshots, mount identity, virtual filesystems, NFS, iSCSI, swap and automount behavior. Investigate capacity and latency symptoms while preserving data and avoiding unsupported repair shortcuts.
Essential Commands questions cover Git staging, history and conflict handling; service execution and dependency settings; memory, CPU and task constraints; disk-space investigation; and TLS certificate inspection. Users and Groups scenarios cover supplementary memberships, password aging, shell environments, resource limits, ACL inheritance and LDAP identity versus authentication.
Every question has four options, one best answer, explanations for all four options and a reference for further study. Allow 90 minutes per test. The 70 percent practice threshold is a learning checkpoint selected for this course, not a statement about the official LFCS passing standard. Review uncertain guesses as carefully as incorrect answers.
This course has written practice tests without video lessons or an included lab. Basic Linux command-line familiarity is recommended. Practice relevant commands in disposable lab environments and consult the documentation for your distribution and installed versions. Selected command behaviors were checked in an isolated Linux container; full VM, SELinux, storage and networking environments were not reproduced.
Cloudpuz Academy is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Linux Foundation. These are original study scenarios, not actual certification questions or exam dumps. Completing the tests does not guarantee certification. Check the current official requirements and continue practical terminal exercises alongside this conceptual review.
