Build confidence in Linux engineering decisions with 120 original questions from Cloudpuz Academy. This written practice course contains one 60-question test for the LPIC-2 201-450 objectives and one different 60-question test for 202-450. The scope follows the official version 4.5 objectives reviewed in November 2026. It is designed for learners who already understand basic Linux administration and want focused practice interpreting operational scenarios.
Test 1 covers capacity planning, kernel components and modules, system startup and recovery, filesystems, advanced storage, network configuration and maintenance. Work through monitoring intervals, resource evidence, boot dependencies, filesystem layers, RAID capacity, LVM behavior, routing and backup decisions. Questions combine command interpretation with troubleshooting choices so you practice identifying the next useful observation.
Test 2 covers DNS, HTTP services, file sharing, network client management, e-mail services and system security. Scenarios include BIND zone behavior, Apache authorization, TLS hosting, Squid access rules, Nginx proxy paths, Samba identity mapping, NFS permissions, DHCP, PAM, LDAP, Postfix, Sieve, Dovecot, filtering, SSH and OpenVPN. Each scenario states the context needed to choose one best answer.
The question counts for each topic match its total published weight within the corresponding exam outline. Test 1 allocates 8 questions to Capacity, 9 to Kernel, 9 to Startup, 9 to Filesystems, 8 to Advanced Storage, 11 to Networking and 6 to Maintenance. Test 2 allocates 8 to DNS, 11 to HTTP, 8 to File Sharing, 11 to Client Management, 8 to E-Mail and 14 to Security.
Every question has four options, one correct answer, an explanation for each option and a further-reading reference. The two tests contain different questions. They emphasize the reason a command or action fits the stated problem, including why plausible alternatives do not. Review uncertain answers and follow the references to strengthen weak areas before repeating a test.
Allow 90 minutes for each test. The 70 percent practice threshold is a study target, not a conversion of the official examination scoring system. Official LPIC-2 examinations include multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank formats; this course uses single-answer multiple-choice questions throughout. These sets are supplementary practice, not exact reproductions of examination content or delivery.
The official outline includes established tools and older version contexts. For example, the Squid scenarios explicitly use the 3.5 context named by the outline. Distribution paths, service defaults and available commands can vary, so check the version and platform in your own lab. Do not apply recovery, storage or access-control changes to production systems merely to experiment with a practice answer.
This course contains practice tests without video lessons, downloadable examination dumps or a hosted lab. A separate Linux lab is useful for hands-on reinforcement. LPI requires passing both exams and an active LPIC-1 certification to receive LPIC-2; consult the official program for current requirements. Cloudpuz Academy is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by LPI. Course completion does not guarantee certification.
